Hi,

I'm shooting a commercial for a company for their website and Youtube usage. I have access to both a Sony HD Camera (Sony_HDR_FX1 I believe) or a VX 2000. I've used the VX2000 once and never used the HD Camera. Is one better for this type of shoot? And do I need to have them on special settings to achieve a "commercial" type look?

Thanks for any help!

Neither of those cameras are HD. They both use HDV which is mpeg2 compression on miniDV tapes. Essentially the two cameras are identical.

VX2000 is SD DV, FX1 is HDV... I'd use the FX1 as it's as good as or better than the VX2000 in almost all respects.
