Hi Guys n Gals,

Is there any resource on the net that gives a "going rate" for cast and crew without telephoning everyone and asking their rate?

There must be a rough guide somewhere.

Thanks

??Goofy Horace??

If you're talking about union actors, check www.sagindie.com for current rates (low-budget is now $200/day deferred, I believe).

Hi Goofy Horace,

The body in the UK to check with is PACT (or BECTU). They have recommended minimum freelance rates available on their site I believe.

As a cameraman (Z1 kit, tripod, mics etc) I charge ?250pd (8hrs) but then I'm not city based. I've seen freelancers in the cities charge more than double that rate.

Basically whatever you pay is whatever you can negotiate!

Kind regards
