I've been reviewing the DVX100b and the HVX200....I was set on buying the HVX until I heard it wasnt real HD as it uses pixel Shift...But would the canon be any better...I heard the Canon XH A1 Has all the pixels...now i know its in the same 1/3 ccd so the light sensitivity will be lower...

Thanks ?:)?

I believe that's basically the tradeoff; the XHA1 has a higher resolution (at least in the stills that I've seen), but smaller CCD pixels and therefore lower light sensitivity.

It also records in HDV rather than DVCPRO, though I'm not convinced that DVCPRO is actually better in most shooting conditions (obviously it will be better if you deliberately go out of your way to shoot footage that HDV's MPEG-2 won't handle well).

Thanks Mark..I think I might get the HVX so that I can also expand out and get into hiring myself and the camera out...Though I have no experience of that...
