animation image rights?

Hey everyone!

I am considering doing an animation opening sequence for a movie. Would I need to get image rights from the actors to legally use their images in the animation? I already had them sign talent release forms where they released to me all work done on the movie. But does using their images for an animation fall under that category?

Thanks!
-Jeff

If you've already got releases which cover all media in the Universe, you should be fine. It depends on the areas which are covered by your specific release, so it might be worth talking with a lawyer if you're not sure.

A work for hire agreement is what you need.
