I wonder if a filmmakers messageboard is the best place to get donations for your camera. Most of us here are struggling at making enough money to buy our OWN cameras.

Good luck with it. Are you planning on sticking around the boards and discussing movie making with us?

I live to make movies. I have an old broken video camera that is not good anymore. Probably will sell it on Ebay, to get more funds to buy the new camera. I am working on this short Film that I want to submit to film festivals once its done.I want to make some high quality product. If I had the Funds I will not be asking for donations. I will help out with anything I can on the forums.

Have a good one

That would be cool. So many people stop by, ask for someting and then never contribute to the boards. It's always good to have another movie maker to bounce ideas off of.

I hear ya. Most of us on these boards want to make some high quality product to submit to festivals. Many of us are working on feature films that are good enough to sell.

I know I can't afford to help you buy your camera when I'm saving to buy mine.

Have you considered getting a cheaper 3 CCD camera with your own money? That way you can start shooting right away and not rely on other movie makers.

Dude, If you dont want to help out, is cool. But dont be trying to discorage other people of doing it. I am not asking for a lot of money. By just donating 1 dollars is good enough.
Be cool.

Dude, I am being cool. You give me too much credit - I have no control over what other people do with their money. I wish you good luck, but am unwilling to give you even $1. I hope it works for you. Not having to pay for your own camera would be a huge advantage to any movie maker.

I hope you find people to donate! ?:)?

I'm sorry if this sounds mean, but Ace, don't expect people to donate money to you so that you can buy a new camera. Why would I help you buy a new camera when I want to buy a new camera? I have seen none of your work; why would I want my name on it?
