this is all with a WinTV-GO-FM Model 191 card.

what kind of quality would i have if i copied a tape from VCR hooked up to my WinTV card to my computer, edit it and copied it back to VCR from WinTV. i plan on recording all my junior B lacrosse games this year and making a highlights video at the end of the season, with music and effects and all... i'm in the planning stages right now and haven't started anything.

Thanks guys!

The Hauppauge card you are using is a great card for analog capture. The quality will be as good as the VHS source. You can convert the .avi capture to MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 to save hard drive space while editing without loss of quality. Keep an eye out for dropped frames during capture.

Good luck!
