Check out this intro I just finished for the TV show I am working on, using After Effects 6.5 Pro, Avid Xpress 4.6, and Premiere Pro 2.0. This shows how powerful these programs can be. The compresed version has minor interlace artifacts, but the high res version looks great on a 40 inch Plasma Screen. Enjoy, and let me know what you think. The camera I used was a Sony VX2100.

What did you use to make the "floor" during the fly in scene? Did you use a green screen to get the characters by themselves during the fly in?

The floor is made of photoshop Jpegs, linked together. I shot the characters in a large dark room and then set the Fstop to make the background deep black. I then garbage matted around the actors in after effects and screened them in with the blending option "Screen".
