I ll be shootin a short in two days. Theres one scene which requires the lead bite a statue but we havnt found a statue we could use( they are all out in the public. So i was thinking if i could shoot the scene with an actual actor and then superimpose an image of the statue over him. please help.

Why not make him a statue in real time? Pretty easy makeup job.

If you want a person to look like a statue in post (real time with make up would look and be better) you would have to shoot the actor infront a green/bluescreen, desaturate him, add texture of the stone you want and add color grade with the color of the stone you want.

What if its a statue of Jesus or some known guy. How can i cheat that?
Shoot the statue using a tripod, than shoot the actor in the same position from roughly the same angle as the statue. Preferably with makeup that matches the texture of the statue although that can be fixed in post. Than matte the face ontop of the statue face.
If you want more than the face to move you're simply gonna hve to dress the actor up as Jesus the statue and fake it all.
