Hello all,
I'm having quite an odd problem. I have the final copy of my film, rendered from Vegas Pro 8 as a MPEG2 with the DVD Architect NTSC Video Stream preset. So, basically, the perfect quality to burn a DVD from in that program.
When viewing the video on the PC, everything seems to be all right. But whenever I burn it to DVD and play it on DVD players, there is a strange visual error.
With moving objects onscreen (hands, bodies, etc.) there is a sort of very slight stuttering motion, as if the video is OK with the background but trying to buffer this moving object. The effect is absolutely maddening and sort of tweaks the eyes. I've heard it described as rat's teeth in another forum.
This effect only appears in the video when it has been burned to DVD and is being played on TV DVD players, game systems, etc. I wish I knew more specifics, but I am only a screenwriter and know little about video production.
If you can help at all, I thank you so much!
