Hi,

Going to be shooting a short with a Panny SDX-900 and wanted to achieve a low-shutter-angle look for a small murder scene, something between 15 and 45 degrees.

Has anyone had any experience affecting this in post, specifically Sony Vegas 6? I'd do it in-camera, but there's no facility on the Panny - ASAIK!

Thanks, guys.

I take it you're after (what I call) the Saving Private Ryan effect of clean cut action with very little frame blur.

It's going to be difficult to achieve without adequate lighting and a fast shutter speed. You can't really do it in post, although AE has a shutter angle option, if your frames are already blurred on the shoot, you can't correct that!

Do some tests with shutter speeds and light levels to get what you're after with the particular camera you have. You won't achieve an exact cinematic look because video cameras don't have mechanical shutter angles, but you may get what you're after by playing around with settings as mentioned.
