Okay so this might seem some what silly to some of you, but I cant for the life of me figure it out and i know the answers going to be something so simple!

How do you rename edited footage with out changing the name of the primary clip? As every time i attempt to give a clip a more specific name than the original footage, they all change to the name of the specific clip I wanted to separate!

knowing how to do this will make managing my production so much easier.

Thanks, Cleary.

Raw footage has a name and every clip that comes from that raw footage will have the same name. YOu can change the name of the raw footage but then it all changes.

If you create a bin and put a scene full of edits into that bin you can then name that scene bin whatever you want.

If you create a bin and put a sequence full of edited scenes into that bin you can name the sequence bin anything you want.

If you create a bin and put a movie full of sequences or edited scenes into that bin you can name the movie bin anything you want.

Hope that helps.
