Hi If someone knows the answer to this I will love them forever,
I went on a trip to shoot some footage. Without a regular camera there I took pictures of the crew on location. I am now trying to get those portions of video into a still frame jpeg (or tiff) file so I can print them off for the crew involved. If it helps, I'm using FCP 4 HD and I'm on a Mac G5. I know there must be a way...
anyone...anyone...
Thanks

It's very simple.
In the Canvas, position the playhead on the frame you want to make a still from.
Click on "Modify" - in the pulldown menu, click on "Make Freeze Frame"
To export it click on "File" then choose "Export" and QuickTime" from the pull down menu. Select a folder from the pulldown menu - name the still - select "Still Image" from the "Format" menu.
