Hey does anyone know how to create the effect of multiple bodies of the same person "blurring"/fading in and out of a static space at hyper speed while the same person is moving in normal speed in the same shot?

**Clarification: I want to simulate the effect of rapid time. Like, the person in normal speed (say, sitting in the middle of the frame) is finishing getting ready for the morning. And the blur of HIMs whirling behind and around him depicts everything he's done up until the present time and activity.

I was also wondering what the trick would be to then make the past activities (blurring images going really fast) "catch back up" to the present - like the last activity (blur) fades into the present (normal speed) person.

Sorry for the long explanation. Anybody know how to do this? I really looking for how to film it and what software I would need to make it. Thanks.

i think i know what yoru talking about.

Set up the camera on a tripod and shoot your person sitting in the chair for as long as you need the shot to be. Then stop recording but DONT MOVE THE CAMERA. Then start recording again and have him go around the house and do everything. Then in post you are gonna want to crop him sitting in the chair and place it on the shot of him going around the houe. If the camera didnt move then it should look like he his in the chair in the chot of him doing everything. Then take the clip of him doing everything and speed it up (maybe double the speed). Then you should be set. When i get a chance ill post a link that shows the final product of this process.

hope that wasnt to lengthy and/or confusing.

Thats a link to my friend and fellow filmmaker. He does just music videos for the time being in order to finance other movies. Anyway, if you click on the "video" link then "I am a Pilot: Lesson Learned" video i think you will see an example of the effect yo uare looking for. His has the singer sining in the corner of a room while two people fool around on a bed next to him. He sped them up but ketp the singer at normal speed. Let me know if thats what you are looking for.

I found that for me it works better if you right click and click "save as" but that might just be my computer
