How do I take snapshots from the video. JPEG or GIF, or any other picture format.

I'm not sitting on my Final Cut Pro computer so I can't tell you exactly but two methods come to mind.
Method 1: Make a small sequence with the bit you want. Then Export the sequnce as Quicktime translation (or something very similar like that, not just export as Quicktime). Amung the options that will come up is Still image (or something very similiar like that). If Jpg and gif are not available as one of the outputs you convert with another program.
Method 2: Blow up the viewer to show the frame in queston and use a screen capture program to take a shot of the image you want.

Yeah, I was thinking of those methods. Just hoping there was more elegant way of doing it in fcp.
