So far i have only used final cut pro....i am very fond of this program but am still an amatuer film maker. I want to move forward with this and turn it hopefully into a career although it seems that will take alot of work and luck to make it in that business. So anyways i guess my question is, What right now is the #1 program to use? I keep hearing about Adobe, Magic Bullet, Final Cut, and all kinds of things. Could someone compare them for me please.

Well, there is really no such thing as the "best" program. And you are probably just going to get people's opinions on programs.
But the most popular programs are Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0, Avid Xpress Pro 5.0 HD, and Apple Final Cut Studio.
But keep in mind, that editing isn't everything in the film. It may be take longer than the shooting, but it is not everything.
If you are trying to turn filmmaking into a career, I would suggest getting one of the programs mentioned above.

When the script writing is done, the work has just begun. When the filming is done, the work has just begun. When post-production is done, the work has just begun. When the distribution is done, you decide if the work is done.
