Hey, I'd apreciate some help; every time I try to render my short movie, this message pops up: "An error has occurred." And something about an exception. The details don't make any sense either. I just changed my RAM to 2.0 GB and my video card is a NVIDIA PCI Express 370. 2.19 gHz. AMD Athlon 64 Processor. It's a Compaq Presario, not recent. 2005ish. I don't know what to do about this, please help me out. Thanks.

First step would be to try removing the RAM you've just installed and seeing if that makes a difference. If it does, it's likely that your computer doesn't like the new DIMM(s) you've installed. This is most likely if you've installed new DIMM(s) which are different spec and/or manufacturer from those which where already in your system. It's always best to install RAM from the same manufacturer (and of the same model) to reduce the chance of problems.

If that doesn't make a difference, there could be a program problem somewhere along the line. Try reinstalling Vegas and your video card drivers and see if that makes a difference.

Otherwise, check all your media files to ensure none have become corrupt. Less likely, but a broken media file might be enough to freak out Vegas.
