Anybody know of a site to purchase royalty free music for film, specifically acoustic pop guitar with vocal? I give up, I have checked a few sites and it all seems to be jazz even though the sites categorize it as pop. I am going to check out some local musicians in my city, the alternative music store in my town, but I would have thought such musicians would have their music on the web somewhere for promoting themselves. I figure a win+win, use a couple of songs from an unknown artist to help them get known and help me with short films (the clip would of course be short in a short film).

Thank you, I will check out that site. I also checked out some local/regional musicians' CDs at a music store in my city yesterday, found a musician whose work I really like, emailed her. I am hoping I can cut a win/win, she gets exposure (which could be substantial with youtube.com and perhaps mobile phone short films) and I get free or cheap music for the soundtrack.

Were those pieces vocal with instruments, or just instrumental? I perused that site a bit, looks like most of the other royalty free music sites I have seen that sell only instrumental or perhaps some jazz style vocals. Maybe good alternative pop-- an actual performer singing while playing her/his acoustic guitar--can not be found royalty free because they are not selling out to that or just prefer making their money with CD sales, performances?
