I want a character in my short film, who has come back from the future, to exhibit a very brief phasing in and out of time. Sort of a jerky time-space distortion like used by that creepy little girl from the well in "The Ring" and also if anybody has seen the TV show "Supernatural" I think it was episode one of season one where a beautiful female ghost hitch-hiker killed guys who picked her up--she exhibited a similar effect. Any ideas how to do this sort of effect on a low budget? I am using an HDV camcorder (Canon XH-A1 digital), and Sony Vegas for the editing and F/X.
