Hello, I am in the process of making a black and white film and to achieve a certain feeling, I want red to be the only color (i.e. blood) I was wondering just how to do this. As background info, I use Adobe Premiere Pro and film with a Sony VX2000. PLEASE HELP. I also have access to after effects if necessary.

Hello Dorminix, ive done this before in adobe affter effects, i used the leave color setting in stylise section of the effects menu. however its very sensative to tones, so your color must be almost pure otherwise it will not work effectivly, even then its not that great. id like to hear what other suggest

"what if i had a mustard drenched cucumber tied to my leg"

Depending on the effect You want to achieve, it can be done in PRemiere. Check out the tutorial on ?url? http://www.wrigleyvideo.com/videotutorial/tut_premiere60.htm?/url? (color pass), where he does something like it...
Maybe his method won't work for You, but it might be a start?

Yeah, I've done that with blood before in Premiere using the color pass filter. Took a lot of fiddling to get the right combination of settings so that only the blood showed up since the shot hadn't been designed for that, but if you avoid anything else in the scene of a similar color to the blood you should be OK.
