I amd editing using Premiere Pro. I have clips which are captured from an analog source but now MPEG 2. The captured clips are fine on their own. However, when I drop them into a sequence I lose audio synch (It looks like a dubbed film). I am keeping audio and video linked. Any Ideas. Frustrating problem.?:(!?
I had a similar problem in premier pro, with footage captured from mini DV. I don't know what caused it, but a simple workaround which solved the problem was to unlink the audio and video, and offset them to bring them back into sync. There were only a few clips which were affected but the offset was the same each time.
It hasn't occurred again, and I hope it won't, but in each instance the audio was out of sync by a fixed amount, if the rate of skew is variable, perhaps with variable bit rate audio, I imagine it may not be quite so easy to fix.
Once you've got them into sync, relink them and your done. it worked for me. hope it helps
