Hello,
Me and my friend are now in the editing process of our sitcom parody.
Does anyone know where could we find a sound effect of an audience going: "Awww.." ? (You know, The sympathetic kind)
Please help,
Thanks,
Tom
No, but if all else fails you can always record a few people saying it and overlay them on multiple tracks so it sounds like a big audience.
What would be the legality of taping a sitcom that had the Aw sound effect and sampling that. The chance of being caught is virtually nil but that's now really my question because as a filmmaker I'd prefer to do things legally so I can talk about them on Letterman some day.
So could you legally sample crowd noise from a tv show?

Hey Tom,
What's your budget? I'm sure our sound man could put together a few samples for you.
It is of course totally illegal to pinch someone elses hard work off a TV show...and the quality would likely be rubbish.

Google "Free Sound Effects" or "royalty free sound effects".
Some are good quality some are not.
