can anyone help me out with how to key frame objects in circular motions in final cut pro or motion.

i know this is a very basic question butif anyone could help it would be a huge help. i dont have alot of experience with key framing.

Pick the aspects you want to key frame (size, position, etc.) Set the beginning point in the timeline and beginning aspects. Hit the diamond shaped button to the right of the aspects you want to change. Move to your desired endpoint in the timeline. Change the aspects to the end setting(the keyframe should appear automatically.

Once you know how to do that, you'll be able to do whatever.

If you're talking about making things move on circular paths, that's more difficult. What I would suggest doing is positioning the anchor point for the object at the center of the rotational axis and then moving the image itself out away from that. After that, any rotations that you apply will use the anchor point as the center, and anything placed away from the anchor point will move in a circular arc.
