Professional world turning it's back on Avid?

Personally, I see them both as having major pros and cons. I learned on FCP but have been cutting with Avid for 2 years (as well as on FCP on my home system). I think that Avid is more powerful, but it's like trying to maneuver a rocketship, and many times you have to trick it into doing what you want. FCP is more agile, but it simply doesn't pack the punch that Avid has, and that is a punch you want when you're working on broadcast work.
