FCP: Dropped frames!

Hey me again ?:p?

Im having prolems capyuring footage from my camera 2 d editin system!!! I'm been prompted with the following statement:

"Dropped frames were detected during the last capture attempt"!!!

Can any one tell me why this may be?

Sorry for the spelling error, only just seen it. "Im having prolems capyuring footage" should read: Im having problems capturing* footage.

is there actualy a drop in frame rate, is it noticable. is so, i could be a hardware problem. but chances are is just dropped 1 frame which makes no difference, and FCP's defealt settings tell it to abort capture on frame drop. if you go to user preferences there will be a 'abort capture on dropped frame' box, untick it. hope that helps

By the way, you can edit your original post and remove the typo and nobody will ever know you're imperfect.
