ok, I need some huge advice, I'm talking a rabbit out of the hat on this one, I got a movie on windows movie maker ( not too fancy -_-), and i need to burn it to DVD to send to a festival, my computer came with Roxio Creator LE-Dell Edition, which says it burns CD's and DVD's, but lately when I tried putting some test footage on a RW CD it didn't play in a DVD player, please someone tell me how to put footage on a RW CD and make it playable in a DVD player.

I don't think it will work, at least not reliably. I've tried burning DVD video onto CDs here, and while PowerDVD will happily play it on my computer, my DVD player resolutely refuses to do so... it seems to detect the fact that it's a CD rather than a DVD and try to read it in a different way.

There's a format called something like SVCD which is basically half-way between VCD (sub-VHS quality) and DVD and recorded onto CDs, which might work.

Unplug your hard drive and take it to a friend with a DVD burner or buy a DVD burner. I think the CD will not work.

you might know this but, you have to buy a blank DVD disc not CD.
and check online to search free dvd burning software. make sure it burns NSTC not PAL.

It IS possible to make video CD's or S-Video CD's that will play in about 50-60% of newer DVD set-top players, but the video is lower-quality and the process is extremely unreliable. It's best to find someone who has a DVD burner and just use theirs.

Why don't you use the Premiere instead of movie maker
Cuz you can also burn DVD directly there
You don't have to burn in burning software
