Hi All,

I am currently in the throws of finishing off a project in 16:9 and am having problems sizing the film for DVD burn off.

The project is for a plasma screen in a large exhibition hall. however when played on a laptop the project is fine then when on a standard DVD player to the plasma it is cropped.

I resized the project to fit the standard DVD player/plasma combo and all is well until I put it on a normal or w/screen tv where on some of it is cropped and compressed and on others it is not...

Is the reason for this that Laptops are Software driven hence no safe zone?

Out!

Well that link had too much to read for me so I don't know if it answered the question.

Bottom line is your plasma is hd wide screen and it's a frustrating fact that hd widescreen has a different ratio that regular tv widescreen. You can't have one file do both.
