DV Tape Skipping

I just went to the mountains to do a big shoot for my film. When I got home, I had noticed the video was skipping as well as the audio. I don't know what is going on so If anyone could please tell me, that would be great. Thank you.

Well what kind of mountains? Where they high up? was it cold? or hot?

They were pretty high 10,000 feet above sea level. It was also pretty hot, but not hot enough to do any damage, I don't think. I used panasonic tape, it happened on several other tapes.
