We all know what im talking about. Those dramatic opera type songs that arouse drama in any type of scene be it a bloody war scene or a slow motion scene of a kid playing kick ball. They exaggerate drama in any scene. Their even used in commercials for humor because they use it to exaggerate the stupidest things. Songs like in movies like Gladiator or an Armagedon type movie. They make scenes seem intense and dramatic. Well anyways can anyone give me some titles of these tyipcal songs I can use for scores for some of my movies thanks a lot.

Thats the point, you don't need the rights to it because the artist has been dead more than 50 years.

Oh, but you do need the rights to it unless you have a symphony orchestra that is prepared to record a performance of it for you for free.

Copyright exists in the performance as well as the composition. Yes, if the work is in the public domain (now normally 75 years after the death of the "author"), then you can use it, but you can't use someone else's recording of it without their permission (unless the recording has also come into the public domain).
