Hello all,
I'm trying to get an idea of what post houses charge around the world to convert an uncompressed 30" film to the specific format required by a TV station, and how much they charge to send out the film to the station.
If anyone has any information regarding this I'd very much appreciate it.
Many thanks.

By "30" film" do you mean 30 minutes of digital video on your computer? Or do
you mean something shot on film - super8, 16mm, 35mm?
If that's the case most post houses charge by the hour - not running time but
studio usage. To give you accurate information of what post houses around the
world charge will take more research than I am prepared to do. I know what the
houses in Los Angeles charge and I've researched the costs in NY and Chicago,
but not Dubai, Paris, Berlin, South Africa, South America or even Canada.
Most post houses don't send the video tape to TV stations. That's what you will
do. And it's as simple as taking the tape to the post office (or FedEx/UPS), putting
it in a package they will provide and paying the postage.
