When I upload my video into the CGI program VisionLab it runs very jerkily and misses loads of frames out. It also doesn't play audio. Should I worry about this and how do I fix this problem?

What is VisionLab? Do you have a link to their website because I couldn't seem to find anything on google. I would be concerned with it dropping frames. It shouldn't be a huge problem if audio didn't get imported with the video assuming you don't cut parts of the video out. All you should have to do once you render the footage is open it up in the video editing program of your choice and add the audio back in.

I can't find a link but you could try searching 'EffectsLab' into Google. The program I'm using IS a demo though, and I can't save the finished product to make it less jerky but would that make a difference?

well im afraid to say that you have just answered your own question "a demo version" , demo versions do not have the full capabilites of the proper version hence why you cannot save, there are ways around this they may not work for you, but it could help, if the 3d stuff you are doing is jerky, can you not make that a style for your film, and as for saving if you can preview the 3d stuff and use a program called snatchit (a screen capture device that saves the captured file as a avi file) that may help you, or simply run it into the "line in" in a dv camera and re-capture the footage and try and interlace or deinterlace the footage to stop the jerkyness, hope this helps
