Yes its me again.

Anyways when I import a clip of a movie into adobe premiere pro 2.0 the sound does not work, However, when I play the clip outside of pro the audio does work, in Premiere it does not even show an Audio Track with the clip, I was wondering if anyone could help me out here so I can hear the Audio in pro.

Thanks.

Are you using a PC? Do you have a compatible sound card?

If you're using a PC, after you open your project in Premiere, open the volume controls from the system tray (next to the clock on the lower right of the screen). Sometimes, for whatever reason, the program will re-level the sounds on your computer (or mute them).

But check to make sure your sound card is compatible- that's the problem I'm betting.

I think my sound card is compatible with pro as it worked in 1.5 I will check anyways. You see the actual problem is that it imports the video but not the audio track so even if my volume was up I would not hear anything as there is no audio track (there is a track for the audio but audio does not import with the video).

In 1.5 both audio and video were imported and I could see the audio on the track However in 2.0 only video is visible.

I managed to just rip the sound with pinnacle 9.0 and then add it to the audio track afterwards in premiere pro so I had audio and video but I would prefer not to rip the audio in pinnacle and then add it to premiere.

Anyways thanks for the answer will see if it is the sound card and volume is set right and will tell you what happens. Cheers.
