Hey Everyone,
I'm a film director here in NYC now foraying in the world of editing for my current documentary. The program I'm using is Premiere Pro fo pc. The film is still in production but I want to get a leg up on editing some footage I have so far. As I'm completely new to nonlinear editing is there anyone who could offer some guidance on the basics and perhaps sit with me guide me with this. Thanks for your help!

I haven't used Premiere since 6.0, but basically you capture your footage, you set in and out points to choose the sections of video to use, and then you drag and drop the video clips onto the timeline. If you can use a GUI, you can do basic editing pretty quickly.
