Hello, I was just curious if there are any aditional programs that are similar to Apple Soundtrack. I received it as a gift from a customer at the store I used to work at, but unfortunately, I have a PC, not a Mac, and my iBook isn't nearly powerful enough to run it, so I had to give it to a friend.
For film projects, I'm not too keen on using licensed music because I try to keep the cost as low as possible and only pay royalties if possible. Instead of hiring a composer, as well, I just plan to go the route of a computer-made score. So what other programs can you recommend?
Thanks in advance.
I used the trial version of Acid Pro a couple of years ago (for some class projects) and it's pretty easy to use. Acid Pro 5 runs about 700 bucks, you can get Acid Music Studio for much cheaper (about 300). You can check them out here - http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/products/acidfamily.asp

Bruce Campbell - "So you want to get into show biz?"
Me - "Yeah, I'd really like to direct movies."
Bruce Campbell - "Cool. Just don't suck."
