Ok, so I have edited and added all my effects on After Effects and have arranged them around on Premiere, everything is perfect and just how it should be.

I even recompressed everything and still I ended up with my movie file being just a shade over 9 gigs. It is only about 45 minutes in length and I lowered the quality as much as I dared to shrink it. Is this normal? Is there a way to recompress it further without having really shitty quality?

I guess my main problem I am having right now is that I am exporting to tape and its taken over 22 hours for it to read/compress/render and soforth... that just seems TOO LONG to me. Is that just how it is? Do I need to get some other export software? I suppose I could always arrange time at an editing bay, but the reason I am doing it myself in the first place is that I have no money for that. What are my options? Is that really how long it takes? Any suggestions?

Thanx?:o)?

We made love, I'd never experienced anything like it before. It was wonderful,...so happy...and then when I rolled over to kiss my wonderful Henry...thats when I saw it. He made a caca in the bed. Well I couldnt believe it either, I said "How could you do such a thing?" and you know what he said, "Doesnt everybody?"

what you could do is chop the whole film into smaller segments, print those to tape and then go edit them all together again elsewhere. That's only an idea. I don't use premiere but it sounds like it could work.

What? $1000!! That's crazy talk!!

i ended up just doing a preview of my timeline and sending that finished piece to the print to video option. it took 4 hours, but at least it wasnt 22.

the chop thing could definately work, i tried that for a little while and i was just getting delirious from it, just reminded me way TOO MUCH of manual editing with multiple vcrs...oh how i swore id never do that again once i was digital savvy.

In your project settings, check the video and audio compression options. After Effects tends to default to "uncompressed" for both unless you specify otherwise. This is why your file sizes are large. You need to compress your video and audio with one of the available codecs on your machine.
