hey

I ve jus started using Premier and seem to have a problem with the playback. When the video is played in the software it kind of skips a lot of frames while the audio plays perfectly.
m running on a 2.8ghz, 1.5gb ram, Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Chipset.
Help me with it
TiA

you need to render the footage to be able to view it in real time. Select the footage with the work bar (the movable slider cursors above the footage in the time line) and then go to File-->Export-->Export to Tape, then press start. After it is finished rendering, you'll be able to see it in real time.

I am not able to export. the option 'export to tape' is grayed out. though i dont have an output device connected ie) the video was captured on another computer and was moved to my PC with an ext. HD.

hmm that's wierd. have you gone to your "preferences" and to the "Scratch Disks" tab and checked to make sure that your C:? drive (or whatever your hard drive is) is the one selected?

***On the other hand, you can render previews by just pressing enter, or by going to "Sequence" and clicking "Render Work Area".
