Hi there, my name is Rachael and I've just joined up to this forum and am looking forward to getting involved in discussions, as I am interested in making music or providing tracks I've already made for film. I make music because I love making music and I have done some professional paid work, remixes that I DJ with at clubs and other tracks for the joy of it and I've been into playing piano and keyboards my whole life. And I'd really love to have some visuals with my music, as I am somewhat interested in making film, but rather do what I do best and collaborate with others who are good at the film making side. And for the right projects, I am willing to make music for free.

I use Ableton Live as my studio, a Macbook Pro, Midi keyboards and sample various other instruments and sounds. I do some singing and voice over too. The styles of music I am good at and enjoy is electronic, synthesizer, deep base lines, layered beats, a lot of piano base tunes and some electronic orchestral sounds added. I like creating sweet tunes and also deep scary tunes. I am also a big fan of gritting up sounds and altering samples to get the sounds I'm after, as I feel you can have an awesome tune, but having every instrument in a track too clean doesn't do a track justice, it's the sound altering that often makes the track. I'm also really good at what I do, I make professional quality music and I need some new outlets to do more with my tunes.

To give an example of the artists I'm inspired by, I like: Daft Punk, Giorgio Moroder and Vangelis. Plus I am rather inspired by 8bit sounds such as the sounds from the Commodore 64, a big fan of the C64 composer Rob Hubbard, I also feel inspired by music from cartoons , plus a hint of 80's and Drum n Bass.
