Hey all,
Excited to be a member of this forum. I am 1st AD and member of the DGA. I have set up a FREE tele-class that I have been hosting for the past few months that I call Film School by Phone. I have been doing the calls every other week but for the next nine weeks I will be doing them weekly. The next call is Tuesday, February 27th. The topic this week will be on set etiquitte with a little networking thrown in.
I had the opportunity to be part of a panel discussion yesterday (2-24-07) at the DGA with the DGA award winning teams of Little Miss Sunshine, Dream Girls and Grey's Anatomy, with a special appearance by the one and only Abby Singer.
I will pass on all they had to say, plus, put to rest all the rumors of where the "Abby Singer" shot came from and cover some networking opportunities that are often missed.
For the following 8 weeks I will be talking about shooting your own film (short or indy). I will cover all aspects, including the pitfalls (and extreme importance) of pre production, production workflow, including time (and $$) saving strategies, post production, including DVD authoring and marketing your film (including the internet).
If you are interested in joining this free call go to ?url="http://lennieappelquist.com/blog/?p=22"?Film School by Phone?/url?.
Hope to see a lot of you there. Did I mention that the calls are free?
