Hi John,

I'm currently looking for a replacement composer for my feature film Unwelcome.

I'll start by giving you a little feel for the project to see if you are still interested or wether you'll run a mile.

We Completed principle photography at the back end of last year in France and have had problems with the edit since. This has pushed the whole schedule back, resulting in the loss of our composer Dave Andrews. Dave's a very good guy and I am gutted that he has now got a full slate of projects up until February next year.

We should complete picture lock at the end of this month, I still have three scenes to shoot which are scheduled for the next three weeks. We currently need to chop around 25 minutes out of the edit as it's current running time is about 1hr 55mins. This will allow us to have a nice tight edit.

I currently have no money for a score although I know scores don't come for free.

I will cover all costs and there will be a deferment, that will be delivered. (I've worked on many, many deferred payment projects and know how that sounds, but I will honour all agreements)

All music rights will be retained by the composer.

If you are still reading this, brilliant.

The other headache I have is the time scale. I really didn't want to hurry any aspect of the film but we have had such a strong response from people we talked to in Cannes that I now feel a very heavy weight on my shoulders. I have several parties interested, and actively pursuing the film and I'd like to have it ready for a screening at the AFM in November. I also have a number of festivals that wish to screen the movie.

Let me know your thoughts and if you're in any way interested. I can then forward the screenplay to you and we can have a chat.

Check out the teaser and cannes promo at www.darkhourpictures.com

Hopefully speak soon

Stef

I think when I reach 3,000 views, I'll stop coming to this website. 😀

How has filmmaking.net worked for you? Have you found work? How about other forums?

Sorry to hear that.

But glad you came back anyway.

Every thought of participating in some of the discussions? Get your name known a little around here?
