Hey guys what's up? Its been a while.

Ok so my english honors class is making the yearbook video. There will be no yearbook so this is all we have. I know it won't be perfect but i want it to be good and not something i cringe at 10 yrs from now.

The 1st thing we're going to tape is the senior assembly. They're just going to tell everyone whose what in the senior office (president, vice etc) and tell us the activities for the rest of the year. Sounds outrageously boring to me. My school is a business school and because of that they don't pay a lot of attention to art and things that are actually interesting.

We're going to have those crazy hair days and other theme days, but i want it to be different and better than last year which looks like Cloverfield. We're using pinnacle so i know the editing isn't going to be spectacular.

What can i do make my lame school interesting? I was thinking of doing a music video, and a skit. What can i do to make senior year memorable to all the seniors?

create two versions. The bland boring version and the pop-up video version where funny, or interesting facts about the video, person on screen at the time, or whatever appears.

So you've got your senior assembly and the President stands up and introduces himself (and a pop-up says that he was on the football team, eats carne asada burritos, and 90% of the class wish he'd skip the beans".

That sort of thing.

I pitched ur idea. I also thought but a music video, using clips from current events and getting seniors opinions on it, reenactments of popular movies, montages of things in my school, events, etc and i got...silence. It seems just thinking of ideas are hard and i'm the only one suggesting things. I know there can't be one theme for this, but how can i find structure? Can i make an outline?

Well a lot of your ideas wouldn't be hard to do so see if you can do them (like the music video) and see how it works out. You might want to get different folks in your honors class to take on different scenes so if some flake, or whatever, it won't matter. Also that leaves you free from doing everything.

I'd also suggest a few commentary tracks. You could get any number of people in the class to lay down audio tracks. Tell them to keep it clean, hopefully funny, and not too dated. Something like that would make the video rewatchable over and over. Lastly put in one commentary track that totally dates it. Talk about the news, music trends, scandals, that sort of thing to help really place people in the moment when they pull it out in 20 years all nostalgic.

? wow those are great ideas?:D?

Only problem is no one listens to be. If this is one of those times i should demand respect (especially since im chief editor) how do i go about doing so?
