I'm currently studying at a private Music School in Manhattan, but i'll drop out cause I wanna do Film. I have no real experience, no money for a private film school and no SAT scores (I'm international)
Would studying Film at a community college and then transferring to a 4-year sound like a bad idea? (in NYC, CUNY schools)
Also, I have been researching for UK Film Schools. Is this a better idea than CUNY schools?
Please let me know what you think about CUNY, UK Film Schools or Film Schools at any other state.
Best,
Alex
Why start at a community college? If you can go straight to university, do it. That said, if you need a community college as a first step, then that may be the way for you.
Stay in the music school.
Get experience in film by making music videos and short films. Volunteer
on student film as crew to learn. Meet and work with other student filmmakers.
