Hi all,
Im completely new here but I know Ill be here often, its a good site.
Im planning on producing a short movie this summer but I want to gather together my assets before I start thinking about the script... I dont want to write a script and stuff then find I have no background music or props.
I intend on filming some sort of horror/slasher type movie and I need suspensful music to use in various parts of the music but I can't think of where to get any.
Where can I obtain some free suspenseful music, legally and free. Im only a college student so I cant afford to splash out money on top of the cost for props and scenery.

Personally when it comes to music i generally have it made for me s there is no shortage of creative music producers/musicians if you scour through myspace. I live with in the uk where the vast majority of producers make 'grime', how ever there are certain people I work with that are capable of making me instrumentals with specific moods.

Yes! great! I have a film that I'd like to produce this summer on a very tight budget. My script also has specific musical needs. I have written some song lyrics that are integral to the story, and have a friend who may write the song for me. but it would be nice to find some good composers to handle the score.

musicbeyond.com is a great site for free music. You just need to ask for permission to use their stuff. Hope this helps
