I recently stumbled upon ?url?www.ccicameracity.com?/url?. This site lists prices hundreds less than other retailers. Simply put, what's the catch?
its probably a scam website, there are dozens of them...
what they do is, after you pay and they get your credit card, they call you back and ask if you are interested in purchasing 'optional accessories.' only thing is these accessories should come with the camera, like lens cap, strap, battery, charger, etc...
in the end, it'll end up costing a few hundred bucks more.

Yeah, I've looked on this site before, was equally surprised at the great deals, and looked up some reviews of it. It's 99% definitely a scam, so invest your money elsewhere. (When buying anything online, especially more expensive products such as cameras, be sure to look up reviews on Web sites such as ?url?www.resellerratings.com?/url?.)

Don't worry, I wasn't considering buying from them. I've done my research, and the horror stories involved with this site are terrible. Still . . . I've found another site who's prices are a little more believable . . . still have to run a background check though 😉

Video is generally an area where you get what you paid for from the dealers; there are so many dubious business practices that anywhere offering prices well below official dealer prices has to be considered suspect until proven otherwise.
That's not to imply that all, or even most, low-cost dealers are trying to pull a fast one, but enough are to make buying from them without doing background research a bit of a risk.
