For all those who are using green screen in your porjects, what size are you working with?

What would you go with out of these choices?

Thanks

I went with a king size bedsheet stretched out over a wood frame I built and then painted electric lime (Wal*Mart will custom mix it for you). Cost was $25-$35.

This totally depends on the size of your shot-- how much of the subject you want/need to see and what lens you plan on using. I've worked on corporate videos where they could get away with a greenscreen no bigger than a flex-fill to do a close-up on a face. And I produced a music video where we used a greenscreen 100'x 40' to fit a motorboat and three sexy bikini-babes in it...

Keep in mind that your screen doesn't necessarily have to fill the entire frame of the shot, right, it just has to completely surround the subject. From there you just garbage matte the rest.

Test it. Set the camera up to shoot your greenscreen f/x shot, pick a lens size, line up on your subject (or subject stand-in), then have someone walk into the shot and actually measure the size green you'd need to cover the entire effect.

12'x12' would definitely be a nice practical size to have around. You can do full body, even a couple of people in the frame at once. And that's probably roughly the size of the King-size bedsheet too...

Thanks guys. I was looking for something big enough for at least two people. Put people is different environments. I think I'll go with the bedsheet idea.

Or buy material.

Anyone have any other suggestions.
