What is HD? I know it stands for High definition (atleast I think it does). How does it differ from DV? Who uses it and why? Any info on the topic would be helpful, or a websight explaining it.

The image size (frame size) is about 2 times larger than DVCAM. It can have framerate 24, 25, 30 interlaced or non-interlaced.
you can shot a movie using this format if you know how to set the light and white ballance.
It is not a Film but it is pretty close
