Hi! I'm in search of good filmmaking schools in the US/Europe. I neither have any filmmaking experience, nor have I done any course in filmmaking till date. My budget is approx $25000 (all inclusive). If anyone knows of any schools that fit in the above criteria, do let me know! IT'S PRETTY URGENT...thanks!

hey,
the only film schools i know of are the Vancouver Film School, the Toronto Film School and the London Film School. All of them are quite good. I'm sorry but i don't know any outside of Canada and London. Good luck

Film schools are a waste of money....... Use the tuition too make a feature film go to the library and check out as many books as possible youll save tons of money that way because film school covers the historical aspects of the ART before theyll let you even look at a camera.......

HI!
I will be visiting the New York Film Academy soon some time. Try www.nyfa.com they have several courses starting from 1 wk film studies to 2 year full time courses. I am sure you can fit into one of these. Its always nice to learn from experts before you invest your money on projects. I have never visited this Academy but I would love to do so, so yea.

look around on the net, dude. there's tons of websites with film school listings and reviews by former students. first of all you must decide what it is you want out of film school. i think you also have to have a realistic understanding that the odds are against you in succeeding; having said that, that's the kind of fire you'll need to succeed in hollywood, bollywood, or london..whereever. strive to be original and true to yourself and respect the audience. and yep, doing some reading: screenplays, memoirs of filmmakers, study dvd's of films you like, how to books. and don't stick with contemporary films. go back to the beginning..i'm reading a great biography on robert mitchum right now. and i've been reading a book on film noir. like miles davis said, "play above your head" good luck

behind every beautiful thing, there's been some kind of pain
