In your price range all tripods are about the same. No one is better than another.

Some brand names to look for are Sony, Sunpack, Silk, Velbon and Smith-Victor.
None in your price range are great, but any of them will be fine. In the ?250 range
look into Bogen. They make excellent products.

To be honest I dont really know a great deal about tripods, but a feature that I find comforting is a built in spirit level. From my personal experience this is a great adaptaion to a tripoda your not second guessing the position of your level.
