I have some Super8 silent films that i got transferred
to MiniDV tape. I Just got a Canon ZR800 MiniDV
easy-to-use Camera, no bells or whistles. I'm assuming
i can put the Transferred super8 DV tapes into my
camcorder and play them back into my Computer to edit
them on Windows Movie Maker, only I'm not sure how to
send it into the computer correctly.
I know I need a cable to attach the Camera to
the Computer, right? I'm VERY new to this. Do
I need anything else or need to check for anything
else?
Depends on the spec of your pc- could you tell us them?
You'll need a firewire cable to hook up your camera to the computer (so you'll need the corresponding port on your pc).
You may be able to view the tapes on the camera, but I'm not sure how the transposition was done (from super8 to minidv). I know that a HDV camera will not be able to display the SD recorded from another camera on a minidv tape (at least mine won't). Only way is to try it, and nothing will be harmed by just trying 😉
