Hey guys. i am new on this site and I have a question. I am by trade a comic book/superhero artist. I recently have been approached by a couple of agencies that represent storyboard artists. They all said the same thing.
A. They really like my work and
B. They need to see storyboard samples.
Since this is a new world to me, I was wondering if agencies are a good thing and what do I need to put together for storyboard samples? As I said my training is in comic books, so, any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks again.

Apparantly Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller used Frank Miller's art directly from a few of the Sin City Graphic Novels as storyboards for the Sin City movie.
Apparantly Jack Kirby said about the same thing a few decades earlier but he was before his time in many ways.
So the styles aren't all that different at all. I would suggest taking some of your art, removing the word bubbles and action squares, looking up some examles of storyboards on the web and reformating the words and information to match the different style.

Thanks RJSchwartz, I appreciate it.
Here's a site for a group out of Chicago that has done some great work.

Check out their storyboards for examples.
wow, that is a really good site for me to study. If you are interested, my website is www.eldavisimo.com
Maybe if you look at my stuff you can give me tips on what would work in storyboards.
I'm not sure what others want in a storyboard, but the key is to get your name and boards out there and showing different styles will be a plus. The Art bunch mostly works in commercials, but you can see the different styles they are capable of storyboarding. The best advice would be to show several different styles on your site and draw up a few storyboards of a few films scenes.
