I'm assuming you mean stop-motion animation. I've done some in the past and I can tell you that it's extremely tedious and time-consuming, but very rewarding when you see the finished product. Your camcorder must be able to do single frame advance or you'll get an uneven motion. You might want to look at machinima instead. There are some great programs that allow you to make all kinds of movies from stock 3D characters and sets. All you'll need are voice actors.
