Hi, I'm new and I just have a few questions.

What would be a good digital camera to start filming with?
What would be the best editing process?

Saying you need a camera is too broad. Give me some specifics about you, and maybe I can help out.

Thank you for the reply, I want something thats digital and its withing the price range of a student budget. I'm not 100% familiar with camera gigets like lenses or aspect ratios. I know how to hold a camera how and turn off auto features, but thats it.

Well if your starting off, youd probably want to borrow a camera, because before you spend big money, you want to be sure you really want to venture into filmmaking.

I started off with a $300 JVC camera. Then once I decided this is what I was going to be doing for a long time, I went out and bought the canon gl2 (which is amazing).

I'd reccomend borrowing a friends camera, and making very small shorts. I mean, very simple plots that are only around five minutes long. Know 100% that you love it, and then buy yourself a camera (depending on your age, income), I would say definitely a Sony or a Canon.

Hope this helps. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
